Stretch your food dollars with Double Up Food Bucks!

Get more fruits and vegetables when you spend your SNAP EBT Card dollars at participating locations. It’s easy with Double Up Food Bucks! For example, if you spend $10 from your SNAP EBT Card at a participating farmers market, mobile market, farm stand, small retail location, corner store, or grocery store, we give you another $10 to buy fresh fruits and veggies grown in New York State. Check with the staff at any nearby Double Up Food Bucks sites to find out!

How it Works

In order to ensure that this program can operate in many different places, there are different ways to earn and spend your Double Up Food Bucks, which we call our Double Up Currencies. Although it might look different depending on where you shop, the main steps will always be the same:

  • Sign up in person at loyalty card locations
  • Swipe your EBT card
  • Match your SNAP dollars $1 for $1 when you purchase SNAP-eligible foods to earn FREE Double Up Food Bucks – either to be spent later or for 50% off your produce depending on the location
  • Shop for qualifying Double Up items

Double Up Food Bucks is always FREE for SNAP customers and the dollars you earn never expire!
